Without Consistency...

We’ve been lucky to have some great guests over the past few weeks and months on the Any Given Runday Podcast, as well as some great guest episodes already recorded that we’ll be releasing over the next month.

We try to keep the guests as varied as we can in terms of backgrounds, but one common theme keeps emerging:

Consistency

They are making their workouts non-negotiables. For some, that means getting out at 5 am. For others, it’s mid-morning, late in the evening or by having the accountability of a running group or coach.

But they find a way to make the sessions a part of their routine.

But consistency can work both ways.

Maybe you’re constantly missing sessions.

That could be due to you not creating the path of least resistance to get running. When the alarm goes off to get up, are the running clothes all ready to go - or are the thoughts of trying to find everything enough to make you feel too tired and rollover

Or do you find yourself on the couch in the evening, saying five more minutes, before leaving it too late to get out and run?

Maybe your routine is unrealistic to get a run in, and you need to change it up.

Or maybe…

Like it has been for me recently - despite what the above reel may suggest…

You’re just making excuses 🤷‍♂️
