Achieve Balance year round, but especially this time of year

Well, we’re definitely not going to get the sunlight but keep it simple and sustainable to get the rest!

Exercise: Aim for 3 x 45-minute sessions a week. It’s tough this time of year but it is possible. You don’t have to get all 45 minutes in one session! Even moving 10 minutes. Getting off a stop earlier. Taking the stairs. They all add up. And the Advent Christmas Challenge is still running where you can get the bodyweight workouts done anywhere! Rest: Aim for at least 7 hours of sleep a night. Sleep is not wasted time. It’s rest and recovery to recharge for the next day. The less sleep under 7 hours we get, the less productive you get. And now you’re wasting time catching up on poor work performance and potential mistakes.

Diet: You’re not going to be perfect this time of year. But, you should never aim for perfection in a diet unless you’re in a body competition. 80/20 for the win here. Enjoy your Christmas drinks and meals. It’s all about... balance.

Self-confidence: Motivation is just words. It’s on you to find it and push yourself to do what you want to do and be self-confident. I will say a positive attitude and affirmations can go along way. Always strive to be better but don’t be so hard on yourself.

Friends: It’s the time of year where we get the chance to catch up with others and create great memories. Make the most of it!
